Vanessa Yates
Owner & founder, Vanessa Yates has spent over 30 years of her career working within accounting firms, where her passion for bookkeeping started.
Vanessa also has extensive experience with real estate trust accounting, not-for-profit organisations, and incorporations within the education sector.
She holds a Diploma in Accounting, Agents Representative Certificate, is a Registered BAS Agent and ASIC Agent. She is also a Xero Certified Advisor and Professional Partner with Reckon.

Shauna
Administration Manager
Shauna has a background working in Accounting, Real Estate, Audit Compliance and Allied Health.
She has been Administration Support for an Accountancy firm and Real Estate Sales/Property Management. She has also been an Audit Compliance Officer responsible for issuing and checking of audits for accuracy and compliance in line with government rules, regulations, and time frames.
Shauna enjoys all things healthy, long beach walks, meditating and spending time with family.

Shilpa Makan
Shilpa completed her Bachelor of Business Studies (2003) and Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (2004) at Massey University in Auckland New Zealand. After graduating she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Fiji for three and a half years in the Audit division. She later moved to Australia in 2008 with her husband and worked for Grant Thornton Melbourne office for 8 and a half years mainly in external audit. Shilpa completed her Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2010.
Shilpa has two children. She joined her husband with his dental practice in 2017 and worked with him for 6 and half years as a Practice Manager. Shilpa has nearly 12 years of experience providing external audit and report preparation services to listed, unlisted public and private companies across a variety of business settings. Shilpa's key focus is to maintain strong relationships with the client, building the trust and confidence in them. She has experience with clients with global reporting requirements and has the ability to meet the deadlines. She is committed to keeping her professional knowledge up to date as much as possible.
In her spare time, she likes listening to music, baking , walking and spending time with her family and friends.

Annabel Bowd
Accountant
Annabel has a bachelor's degree in economics from Sydney University, is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters in Tax from UNSW. She has over 25 years' experience working in Chartered Accounting firms both in audit and in business services and tax.
Annabel is married and has two children still at university. She enjoys spending time on the weekends with friends, family and her spoodle Gracie!!

Simone Gordon
My senior bookkeeper role at Yates Bookkeeping Group provides the opportunity for me to utilise the full range of my skills across many business structures. This exposure allows me to refine my abilities with different software packages, learn and customise the needs of different business structures in terms of data management and apply troubleshooting and problems solving initiatives where required.
I am also a part time Senior Bookkeeper / Intermediate Accountant with a public accounting firm, managing a portfolio of 20+ clients with compliance including BAS, IAS, Workcover, STP, TPAR, Super Guarantee Charge forms, Payroll tax and tax preparation.
I am a registered BAS agent and an Associate (AIPA) with the IPA, with a Bachelor of Business from University of Queensland and Diploma of Accounting from Holmesglen. I hold numerous continuous professional education certificates including Xero Advisor Certified, Xero Payroll Certified, QBO ProAdvisor and Certified Accounting Technician from the IPA.
I have over 20 years of experience as a financial all-rounder in various industries, including public accounting, retail, and hospitality. I have extensive experience with end-to-end payroll, accounts payable and receivable, costing, financial reporting, end of year preparation etc.
I enjoy studying and learning about business and am passionate about helping clients understand what their business is telling them. My interests are in providing insight for clients allowing them to build strong business plans, realistic budgets and ultimately achieve their business goals in a holistic and sustainable manner.
When I'm not working, I spend large amounts of time in my garden and focusing on large canvas paintings for relaxation. I enjoy spending quality time with my daughter - Aaliyah and my bossy dog - Alina.

Theresa Ferrer
Theresa is one of our Senior Bookkeeper based in the Philippines. Theresa has a wealth of experience, with over 8 years in the field. She specialises in key areas such as payroll management, financial reporting and trust accounting. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, walking their dog and visiting family on the weekends.

Angelica Lao
Angelica is our Executive Assistant/Bookkeeping Assistant based in the Philippines. Angelica provides executive assistance, streamlines workflow efficiency, manages social media and marketing activities, and handles bookkeeping support for the team. With a strong background in operational administration, marketing and sales across Finance, Real Estate and other industries, she brings valuable expertise that enhances the team's effectiveness and supports the business objectives. Enthusiastic about engaging in lifelong learning and embracing new experiences, she also has a passion for travel, nature, and outdoor activities.
